A production cel from the Nepenthe Studios animated cult classic "Watership Down" (1978). Featuring Blackavar, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. The image is seen at about 1:21:38 when Blackavar runs into the opening of Watership Down to stop Woundwort as he enters. Measuring 10.5”x13” overall, with the character image measuring 3.25”x4”, the cel is in very good condition with minor edge and corner wear. The cel is paired with a color printed background for presentation purposes.
