A multi-layer matching production cel and background from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Cyclops arguing about the need to cure mutant powers, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season one episode "Come the Apocalypse," which aired on February 27, 1993. Measuring 10.25"x14" overall, with the character image measuring 7"x9.25", the cel and background are in very good condition. The cel displays minor surface wear, slight line wear, production-related tape across the bottom edge of one cel layer, and backing paper stuck to the back of the cel paint from studio use and storage. The background shows minor edge and corner wear and production-related tape on the bottom edge.
